The ITRUE X6D Dual car dash cam is a complete dashboard camera system. You get everything that you need to setup a front-facing and rear-facing camera. Released September 8th, 2016, the ITRUE X6D dual dash cam offers HD recording, G-sensors, super-wide angle lenses, and other useful features.

But, is it worth the cost?

The ITRUE X6D dual dash cam is one of many cameras on the market. Keep reading to learn more.

Unique Design for Stealthy Placement in Your Windshield

The first feature that stands out is the design of the ITRUE X6D dual dash cam. The front-facing camera is the main unit. It has a triangle shape that is designed specifically for windshield placement.

The unique design takes up less space in your windshield. This is more discreet than some of the other dash cams that are available.

The main dash cam also features a 2.4-inch TFT LCD display. When positioned in your windshield, you shouldn’t have any trouble viewing the large display.

Super Wide Angles Lenses with Full HD Recording

What about the lenses? You get super-wide angle lenses with both the front and rear cameras.

The ITRUE X6D dual dash cam uses a 170-degree wide angle lens for the front camera.

This provides a greater view of your surroundings. The rear camera has a 120-degree angle lens.

Only the front camera records in full HD. It records at 1920 x 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second.

It also uses H.264 format compression, which limits bandwidth and overall file size.
The rear camera is a VGA camera. This isn’t the greatest quality, but it does provide a view from the rear of your vehicle.

The ITRUE X6D Dual Dash Cam Comes with a 16GB Memory Card

You’ll also get a 16GB MicroSD memory card. This should provide several hours of HD recording. If you need more storage space, the ITRUE X6D dual dash cam supports cards up to 64GB.

Superior Night Vision and Sensitive Sensor for Quality Recording

Other notable features include the wide dynamic range (WDR) and sensitive sensor. The AR0330 sensor and the 6-glass F1.6 lens ensures quality video in most settings.

The WDR also helps capture the best light. You get a greater range of colors.

The whites are whiter and the blacks are blacker. There is less grain in the video, even in dark lighting conditions. Night recording is further improved by the night mode.

G-Sensor Locks Your Video File During a Vehicle Collision

As with most dash cams, the ITRUE X6D dual dash cam has a g-sensor. In the event of a collision, the g-sensor locks the current video file. This prevents the video file from being recorded over or accidentally deleted.

The ITRUE X6D Dual Dash Cam is GPS Compatible

You can use GPS for location and speed monitoring. This logs GPS data in your video file.

When reviewing your video on the computer, you can determine your exact location. In the event of an accident, you’ll have an accurate record of where the accident occurred and your total speed.

Easy Installation and Placement of the ITRUE X6D Dual Dash Cam

The final set of details to explore is the installation of the camera.

The ITRUE X6D dual dash cam should be connected to an external power source – your car battery. This ensures continual operation, as the battery is mainly used to save files in an emergency.
You get a set of 3M adhesive mounting holders for placing your cameras. The camera can be connected to your car battery via the provided car charger. Or, you can use an optional hard wire kit.

Installation should only take about 30-minutes, depending on whether you use the hard wire kit. Follow the provided instructions to ensure proper setup.
Once the camera is positioned and connected to a power source, you’re ready to start recording.

If connected to your battery, the camera will automatically start recording upon and ignition. And, the loop recording will ensure continual recording.

How Does the ITRUE X6D Dual Dash Cam Compare to Other Dash Cams?

The ITRUE X6D Dual Dash Cam isn’t your only option. There are other quality dash cams that offer HD recording and similar features to the X6D. This includes the ITRUE X3 Dash Cam.

The single camera X3 could be a suitable alternative to the X6D. It also records in full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second. As with the X6D, the X3 has a super wide-angle 170-degree lens.

The main difference is the design and the fact that this is a single camera. The ITRUE X3 dash cam is compact, discreet, and easy to setup.
But, if you want the dual cameras, then the ITRUE X6D Dual dash cam has you covered.

Even when compared to other dual dash cams, the ITRUE X6D Dual cameras provide additional benefits. It has a great temperature range, superior night recording, and a super-wide angle lens.

Final Thoughts on the ITRUE X6D Dual Dashboard Camera System

Overall, the ITRUE X6D Dual dash cam offers numerous advantages for anyone looking to add a camera to their vehicle. You get a quality front-facing dashcam with a 2.4-inch LCD display.

The only potential drawback is that rear camera is a VGA camera. It doesn’t record in HD. But, the front facing camera is still one of the best dash cams on the market.
It comes equipped with a 16GB MicroSD card, car charger, 3M adhesive mounting holders, and an instruction manual. You get everything that you need to setup your dual dash cam system.

  2. Dedicated server

The Powerlead PUDA has a lens system that prevents it from fogging up after running for a long period of time. You might need the rear camera if someone hits your car from behind, so this additional footage can help you in the long run.

  3. Virtual Private Server

The camera has a motion alert feature, which will notify you if someone is about to walk out in front of your car. This feature tells you if your car is moving too fast compared to the car in front of you, so you can avoid a rear-end collision.
